Braces

Normal metal braces, where you can add an elastic ligature that will add colour to your braces.

The first appointment would be to assess and determine whether you need braces and work out a personalized treatment plan with the taking of X-Rays, photos and impressions.

The second appointment your treatment we will discuss your unique custom plan and decide wether to move forward.

The third appointment will be an hour and a half hour visit to our practice to fit your braces.

After that, we will see you every 4 to 6 weeks for 15 to 30 minutes to change colours and adjust the braces.

Depending on your specific plan, this will continue for the next 18 to 24 months.

White/Tooth Coloured Braces

This procedure is exactly the same as for metal braces. The only difference would be that they are not as visible as metal braces.

Food and drink that is very dark in colour, should be avoided though for the purpose of staining.

Clear Aligners

This option is for the person who would like to go as invisible as possible.

The first 2 appointments would still be to assess and take a series of dental records.

In this case, there are no impressions, but a 3D scan will be taken and send to head quarters in America where the technitian will set up a series of clear plates.

As soon as the aligners are ready, Dr Jacques will put some clear buttons on the teeth and you are ready to start your treatment.

Appointments will be scheduled in 4 week intervals until treatment is complete, between 18 to 24 months.

Teeth Cleaning

This procedure is done with braces or without. We make use of advanced Swiss technology, with the least discomfort and optimal results to remove deposits and biofilm on the teeth.

Plaque, tartar and stains. Leaving you feeling great, with a healthy sparkly smile.

The Airflow master makes use of a very fine powder, only 14 um, which makes EMS powders much less abrasive that traditional mechanical debridement techniques such as rubber cups and handscaling.

Teeth Whitening/Bleaching

It is no myth that whiter teeth looks healthier and makes you look younger and more fit. We offer teeth whitening solutions to suit everyone. Our procedures are done in-chair, or take home. We make use of Beaming White, and BlancOne whitening products.

It is highly recommended that a cleaning is done before whitening. After cleaning, a certain percentage of Hydrogen peroxide it placed on the teeth with a LED light.

There are 3 options to choose from, and by examining your teeth beforehand, we determine the best option for your specific tooth colour, expectations, time availability and budget.

Some patients can expect great results, and others less. The results are never permanent, and can last between 1 and a half year to 3 years. Maintenance is always recommended, and results vary depending on the amount of coffe, smoke, red wine etc. Speak to our Dental Hygienists about the best option for you. Crowns and Bridges

A porselein crown or bridge is when a porselein cap is places over ones natural tooth. We make use of a Cerec, also known as Ceramic Reconstruction. This is high tecnology that can fabricate very durable and highly easthetic restorations in a very short time.

The Cerec Omnicam is used to take a digital impression, which creates a 3D model of your mouth and teeth. The crown, bridge or restoration is then designed on the CEREC acquisition unit and sent online to the milling unit which is in-house, and then fabricates your new tooth.

CEREC uses strong, tooth coloured materials which very closely mimics the appearance of a healthy natural tooth.

Implants

An implant is the replacement of 1 or more missing teeth, with a screw-in tooth.

An implant is a titanium screw that is placed into the bone of the jaw. The bone will then grow onto the implant to stabilize it. This process can take between 2 to 6 months, depending on the quality of bone. This can only be determined at the time of procedure.

There is a range of different implant systems, and vary in cost.  With initial consultation your specific case, problems and needs will be discussed, with treatment options and risks.

What to expect:

  • Initial Consult to discuss problems and needs
  • You will be given a cost estimate.
  • A 3D CT scan to determine bone density, will be taken and a surgical sent will be designed for the optimized implant position.
  • You need to see the Oral Hygienist prior to treatment to eliminate Bio Film and bacterial count. A high bacterial count increases the risk of infection.
  • We will also encourage that you see the Oral Hygienist every 3 months post-surgery for prolonged success of Implant placement.
